Way2B1 is a collaborative platform that helps families and their extended network of trusted people manage all aspects of life. With the Way2B1 platform, you organize all your family information in one, secure hub, simplify the logistics of daily life, and manage access to your family data with total control. The platform strengthens the connections and creates an audit history with trusted sources, such as family members, property managers, captains, crew, lawyers, tax advisers and investment managers. 

In this role, you will help develop the next version of our mobile applications for the iOS platform. We are transitioning from React Native into Swift (which is already advanced and a couple of months out from publication) and Kotlin to deploy platform-native, next-generation applications. You’ll work with a team of experienced mobile engineers from the iOS and Android platforms while building new features and making improvements to the project using the latest frameworks (the base operating system is iOS 17 and this uses SwiftUI, SwiftData, Observable, etc). This role is expected to focus primarily on the iOS SwiftUI-based application, but experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and the Android development ecosystem is also highly valued.

Our ideal candidate has:
● 4+ years of engineering experience
● Prior experience as a Senior or lead-level engineer in iOS native projects.
● 4+ years experience working with Swift
● Previously has shipped applications to the Apple App Store
● Experience collaborating with backend teams
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Bonus points for:
● Kotlin, Android, and Jetpack Compose experience.
● Backend development experience using JavaScript, Node, Express.
● Prior SaaS experience.

What you'll be doing:
● Develop the next generation of Way2b1’s mobile application in Swift using SwiftUI, SwiftData, Observable and other modern libraries.
● Design, develop, and release features and systems for our customers.
● Mentor other mobile engineers.
● Work with leadership to set best practices and standards for mobile development.
● Maintain the relationship with Apple and the App Store as needed.
● Influence backend teams to ensure high performance and data quality for the mobile application.
● Partner with product and design teams on the app’s structure and functionality.
● Provide iOS platform knowledge and perspective to influence the mobile strategy for the organization.
● Stay up to date on the latest mobile frameworks and Apple’s releases.
● Fix bugs and improve features in the app.
