Job Overview

Join the Steel Hunters team, the newly announced free-to-play mech shooter game, by Wargaming, one of the biggest publishers of free-to-play games in the world.

This strategic and tactical game in unreal Engine 5, blends mech hero combat with Battle Royale and Extraction gameplay in a rich, futuristic setting, where players fight over a rare resource called Starfall. The role will utilize your extensive Graphics skillset to help develop our Networked, Multiplayer game. As a Principal, you will help coach, mentor and knowledge share amongst your team and peers. Being one of the most senior members of the team, it is critical that you help impart your knowledge onto others!

The candidate will have to be a hardworking motivated team player who is able to work within a multidisciplinary team of developers in a global community

 

Reports to

You will report to the Lead Graphics Programmer

What will you do?

  • Work closely with other disciplines to drive quality and achieve project goals.
  • Research and implement new features within Unreal engine.

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience developing networked multiplayer games in the industry, ideally at AAA or AA Studios
  • Ability to communicate clearly to enable collaboration across disciplines.
  • Professional experience of graphics programming in a modern game engine.
  • Expert C++ skills.
  • Experience with modern graphics APIs (DX12, Vulkan, console APIs, etc.).
  • Experience writing shaders in HLSL, GLSL, CG, or similar.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of current real-time rendering techniques.
  • Experience profiling and optimizing CPU and GPU usage

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 5 or 4
