Job Overview

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that supports multiplayer gaming, player interactions, and real-time data processing.

Your role is crucial to ensuring a seamless, responsive, and scalable online gaming experience. You will work closely with game developers, network engineers, and other teams to create a reliable and efficient server environment.

What will you do?

  • Participate in the creation of new game modes and logic on the server and client
  • Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud
  • Improve and develop the existing technology stack
  • Work with dozens of additional services and applications that make up the large-scale infrastructure of our project (payment systems, authorization systems, analytical data warehouses, etc.
  • Managing the entire system
  • Created and managing databases

What are we looking for?

  • Over two years of hands-on experience with C++
  • An understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
  • Knowledge of data structures
  • Work as a backend developer or in a related specialty for at least 3 years
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Perforce
  • Experience with both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
  • Basic knowledge of popular game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine) and their networking components is a plus
  • Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or Go, commonly used in server development

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Familiarity with Xbox / Playstation development
  • Passionate about AAA games and game development
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture

Hybrid (3 days of work from the office and 2 days of work from home)
