Role summary:
The (USA) Staff, Software Engineer plays a critical role in delivering scalable platform capabilities and driving the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. This position requires expertise in cloud-native architecture, API design, and AI/ML integration to build secure, modular, and maintainable solutions. The role involves technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment with business goals and engineering excellence. The engineer applies data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement practices to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality software solutions.

The international last mile engineering team delivers scalable, high-performance software solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Focused on automation and continuous optimization, the team designs, develops, and maintains critical business capabilities with an emphasis on solution design, software development, and DevOps best practices. Collaborating closely, members ensure reliable system performance and measurable growth. This team fosters technical excellence and proactive problem-solving to meet evolving business needs while upholding high standards of quality and performance in a dynamic environment.
What you'll do:

• Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
• Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
• Lead system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
• Build AI-driven applications integrating intelligent automation features using multiple programming languages.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements.
• Continuously improve processes, tools, and products through data-driven decision making and innovation.

What you'll bring:

• Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
• Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and platform development to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Experience leading full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
• Ability to conduct thorough design reviews and apply data-driven decision making to optimize engineering outcomes.
• Skilled in mentoring and technical leadership to foster team growth and uphold engineering excellence.
• Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, and C++ for AI/ML integration and automation.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage stakeholders and drive project success.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
