Role summary:

As the Senior Manager, Data Science, you will lead advanced analytics initiatives to drive strategic business decisions. This role requires expertise in data science, optimization, machine learning, and programming languages such as Python and SQL to develop scalable models and insights. You will oversee data quality and visualization efforts while aligning analytics solutions with business requirements and metrics. Collaborating across teams, you will ensure the effective application of data driven strategies to optimize operations and support organizational goals within a dynamic environment.
About the team:

This team leads the design and fulfillment strategy for Walmart’s eCommerce network, focusing on inbound and outbound operations. Their analytical models guide significant capital investments and support Walmart’s eCommerce growth. Key responsibilities include optimizing the location and capacity of inbound nodes, managing capacity by commodity type at fulfillment centers, and scheduling facility builds within budget limits. The team applies advanced data science, optimization, machine learning, and operations research techniques to solve complex business challenges, ensuring efficient network performance and alignment with strategic objectives.
What you'll do:

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced data science models to support business objectives and improve decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
• Oversee data quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of insights.
• Utilize machine learning techniques and programming languages such as Python and SQL to analyze complex datasets.
• Drive the creation of clear and actionable data visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide data science team members to enhance technical skills and project delivery.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 3: 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
