Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Data Analytics leads the development and execution of data strategies that drive business insights and operational excellence. This role requires expertise in identifying data sources, ensuring data quality, and applying advanced analytical methods to solve complex business challenges. The position involves guiding data visualization efforts, mentoring team members, and collaborating across functions to translate business needs into actionable analytics solutions. The Senior Manager champions data governance and quality standards while fostering continuous improvement and innovation to support Walmart’s strategic objectives and deliver measurable value.
About the team:
The team leads capacity planning to support growth, speed, and cost objectives within fulfillment centers. Collaborating with senior leadership, they develop data-driven strategies and advanced models that guide key business decisions. The team manages complex analytics projects, works cross-functionally, and implements innovative solutions to improve processes. Focused on continuous learning and alignment with organizational goals, they leverage predictive analytics and business insights to drive operational excellence. Their efforts support Walmart’s mission to deliver value and efficiency across the enterprise, ensuring informed decision-making and enhanced performance throughout the organization.
What you'll do:

• Identify and evaluate data sources aligned with business requirements and service level agreements to ensure data fitness for purpose.
• Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions using advanced analytics and automation techniques.
• Design and implement effective data visualizations and storytelling to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Develop and apply data quality management practices, including profiling, cleansing, and monitoring to maintain high data standards.
• Lead data strategy initiatives that optimize data value, accessibility, and compliance with governance policies.
• Mentor team members on analytics methods, data quality, and visualization best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align analytics efforts with business objectives and drive measurable outcomes.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in data analytics, including big data techniques and automation methods.
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Python, and R.
• Strong understanding of data quality management, data governance, and enterprise data architecture.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions and actionable insights.
• Expertise in statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, and advanced data modeling.
• Proven leadership skills in mentoring and developing teams to achieve business objectives.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to present data insights to stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
1 year's supervisory experience.
