About the team:
The Walmart Data Ventures team transforms complex data into actionable insights that drive product, sales, and operational improvements. As a Center of Excellence for analytics, the team develops advanced analytics, predictive models, and visualization solutions to support strategic decision-making. Collaborating across functions, the team enhances commercial products by creating structured data layers and fostering data trust. Expertise in big data, AI/ML, and cloud platforms underpins their work to advance Walmart’s omnichannel retail objectives. Leadership and collaboration are key to delivering impactful business intelligence and innovative data-driven solutions.
What you'll do:

• Identify and assess appropriate data sources aligned with business requirements and service level agreements.
• Perform initial data quality checks and manage data cleansing activities to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions using advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques.
• Develop and deliver insightful data visualizations and reports to support decision-making across multiple business domains.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align analytics projects with strategic objectives and provide actionable business recommendations.
• Maintain data governance standards, ensuring compliance with policies on data privacy, security, and quality.
• Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in data analysis and visualization.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in data analysis, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling to support business decision-making.
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL systems, for effective data extraction and management.
• Strong knowledge of data quality management, governance standards, and data profiling techniques to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Python libraries to communicate insights clearly.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions aligned with organizational strategy.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools and big data analytics to drive impactful recommendations.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
