As a Software Engineer III, you’ll spend your days translating requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing us with the insights necessary to think beyond the status quo. You’ll oversee small project teams consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done.

About the Team:

Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization. In specific we own Subscriptions product line enabling the customer with convenient shopping with Set and Forget.

What you’ll do:

• Hands on development experience in building Android Native customer experience applications using technologies like Java/Kotlin.
• Participate in managing code & configurations for multiple environments, release management process, creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls, code integrity and work closely with platform team
• Analyze business requirements, storyboards and similar artifacts of the scrum process, work in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues
• Experience with secure coding practices
• Ensure inclusion of business vision and industry trends to enable results that drive business
• Problem solving and troubleshooting issues and provide appropriate solutions
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code

What you’ll bring:

• 3+ years of experience programming Android native apps, and related technologies like Java/Kotlin/JavaScript
• Shipped one or more Android applications which are still available in the Google Play Store.
• Well versed with Android SDK and all Google-approved technologies
• Experience in problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
• Experience building applications with good test coverage
• Experience having Operational Excellence mindset, creating dashboard, logs monitoring, alerting mechanisms

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives
