Team and Position Summary:
US Tech Omni Retail: This is the team which builds reusable technologies that aid in ensuring a seamless omni experience for our US based customers. They optimize item discovery, search, adding items to cart, checkout & post purchase workflows, adhering to the Walmart philosophy - Everyday Low Cost & Save Time for busy families. In addition to ushering in affordability, they also create personalized experiences for customers the omnichannel way, across all channels - in-store, on the mobile app and websites.
Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of large-scale systems operating at petabytes scale. We focus on real-time indexing pipelines, web based & native apps end user experience, streaming analytics, distributed infrastructure on cloud. We interact with multiple teams across the company to provide scalable robust technical solutions.

What you'll do...

Position Responsibilities: 

·       Research, guide, and execute iOS architecture changes, including but by no means limited to REST / GraphQL.

·       Build reusable components with modular views, manage data on the client and test everything.

·       Measure and resolve performance bottlenecks. Refactor or improve existing code.

·       Work closely with our product, design, and UX teams to create amazing and intuitive experiences that make it effortless to connect different apps together.

·       Help put tools, processes, and documentation in place to improve our code quality.

·       Ship to hundreds of thousands of users every day while having lots of autonomy in terms of code and feature ownership.

·       Work with complex and varied data structures.

·       Adhere to coding best practices, responsible for quality of code, documentation, testing, monitoring and delivery of features.  

·       Through this role you have an opportunity to develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company.

·       You also get to collaborate with team members to develop best practices and client requirements for the software.

·       In this role it would be important for you to professionally maintain all codes and create updates regularly to address the customer’s and company’s concerns

·       You will show your skills in analysing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance

·       Troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently will offer you a chance to grow your skills in a high-pace, high-impact environment.

·       Software security is of prime importance and by developing programs that monitor sharing of private information, you will be able to add tremendous credibility to your work

·       You will also be required to seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness.

·       You will  be responsible for design and end-to-end delivery of modules while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

·       You will be expected to  raise the bar on sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring.

Position Requirements: 

Minimum qualifications:

·       B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science. 

·       Minimum 2+ years of object-oriented programming experience in native IOS development. 

·       2-5 years of experience in design and development of highly -scalable applications development in product based companies or R&D divisions

·       2+ years of experience in systems design, data structures, design patterns, algorithms, and distributed systems. 

• Extensive hands-on experience of Objective C, Swift 5, XCTest, XCUITest, design patterns and programming best practices. 

·       Proficient in software development using CI-CD Pipelines and git.

·       Proficient in unit testing using XCTest, XCUITest, writing mocks and automated functional tests

·       

Additional Qualifications: 

·       Experience with GraphQL is a plus.

·       Working knowledge of SQL /No-SQL and database technologies (MySQL, Mongo DB, Hbase, Cassandra, Oracle, Postgresql)

·       Strong hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.

·       Large scale distributed systems experience, including scalability and fault tolerance. 

·       Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS 

·       A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate and optimize systems and tools. 

·       Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms 

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

·       Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology 

·       Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
