Responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Sam's members, in the areas of Membership, Marketing and Map.

About Team: Sam's Contact Center Application
Sam's Club is our membership warehouse club, a business model that provides our members with high-quality products at prices that are unrivalled by traditional retail. Sam's Club provides a carefully curated assortment of items, as well as developing and leading technologies and services such as Scan & Go, Club Pickup, and home delivery service in select markets. Sam's Club also provides travel, auto purchasing, pharmacy, optical, hearing aid centers, tire and battery centers, and a portfolio of business operations support services. Our team is responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Sam's members, in the areas of Membership, Marketing and Map to improve Contact Center average handle time by addressing advocate pain points and automating key Contact Center data reducing response time for member issues

What you'll do:

• You are responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Sam's members, in the areas of Membership, Marketing and Map.
• You are expected to be more intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about domain/technology in general. 
• You are expected to be a team player that can support the team in their deliverables and provide oversight, do peer code reviews wherever required.
• You will be responsible for managing your application, meeting all Engineering and Operational Excellence criterions as defined by your team leadership.

What you'll bring:

• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms. 
• Significant experience in Java 8 or above, lambda functions, streams, and related technologies. 
• Experience developing micro-services architecture, and good understanding of distributed concepts, common design principles, design patterns and cloud concepts. 
• Good understanding of service-oriented architecture, inter dependency service management and orchestration.
• Hands-on experience in Spring boot, concurrency, garbage collection, RESTful services, data caching services and ORM tools. 
• Experience working with Relational Database and writing complex SQL queries. 
• Experience in working with NoSQL Databases like cosmos DB or similar. 
• Experience in working with Caching technology like Redis, Mem cache or other related Systems. 
• Strong in writing modular and testable code and test cases (unit, functional and integration) using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Mock MVC
• Significant experience working with React web and mobile along with tools like Flux, Flow, Redux.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages.
• Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state
• Experience utilising monitoring and alert tools like Prometheus, Splunk, and other related systems and excellent in debugging and troubleshooting issues. 
• Building tools and CI/CD tools to automate code pipelines (Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Concord, Maven, and Gradle). 
• Experience in Containerisation tools like Docker, Helm, Kubernetes. 
• Experience with public cloud platforms like Azure, GCP etc. 
• Experience in automation tests scripts, performance tests (jMeter) and DevOps orientation would be a plus.
• Good knowledge on Retail domain.
• Excellent problem solving, Critical and Analytical thinking skills.
