What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Provide necessary documentation, guidance, and exemplifications for engineering projects. Determine short-term and long-term solutions and timelines. Review proposed solutions and conduct design and code evaluations of modifications. Resolve business and production challenges by assembling data about the issue, its impact, severity, and probable root cause. Collaborate with support teams for issue resolution, develop action plans, execute designated actions, interpret the results for future steps, conduct root cause analyses to prevent recurrence, and complete digital documentation. Support business operations by addressing customer inquiries, apprehensions, and issues such as technical viability and implementation strategies. Identify both short-term and long-term solutions, facilitate resolutions, and drive cross-functional collaborations. Guide the discovery phase of medium to large-scale projects to create a high-level design. Coordinate with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams to secure cross-functional approvals. Review project prerequisites, translate requirements into technical solutions, collect required information, write and develop code, conduct unit testing, communicate status and issues to team members and stakeholders, cooperate with the project team and cross-functional teams, resolve open issues and debugging, ensure the timely delivery and handovers, interact with the project manager to contribute to the project plan, and provide leadership to the project team. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise by applying it to the formation, implementation, and enhancement of action plans. Offer expert advice and guidance to others regarding the application of information and best practices, support efforts aligned with customer and business needs, and foster commitment towards differing perspectives and rationales. Facilitate and support the implementation of business solutions by establishing relationships and collaborations with key stakeholders. Identify business needs, determine and implement the necessary processes and practices, monitor progress and outcomes, recognize and seize upon improvement opportunities, and adjust to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.

Skills required: Experience designing and implementing REST API using Spring Boot framework. Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages Java and Python. Experience designing and testing Relational Database Management systems including SQL Server and MYSQL by writing complex queries and conducting performance optimization. Experience designing unit and integration testing using frameworks including Junit, Mockito and PowerMock. Experience conducting Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) operations and data processing tasks by utilizing big data tools Hive, Spark, and Kafka. Experience creating solution architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and documentation using UML and Confluence. Experience building and deploying backend services using Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes. Experience using one of the following Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience utilizing Splunk for logging. Experience performing troubleshooting and diagnostics. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $147,481/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
