Position Summary...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Sam's Club also provides travel, auto purchasing, pharmacy, optical, hearing aid centers, tire and battery centers, and a portfolio of business operations support services. Our team is responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Sam's members, in the areas of Membership, Marketing and Map to improve Contact Center average handle time by addressing advocate pain points and automating key Contact Center data reducing response time for member issues

What you'll do:

• You are responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applicaions that meet the needs of millions of Sam's members, in the areas of Membership, Markeing and Map.

• You are expected to be more intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about domain/technology in general.

• You are expected to be a team player that can support the team in their deliverables and provide oversight, do peer code reviews wherever required.

• You will be responsible for managing your application, meeting all Engineering and Operational Excellence criterions as defined by your team leadership.

What you'll bring:

• 3-6 years of overall experience.

• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

• Experience in Java 8 or above, lambda functions, streams, and related technologies.

• Experience in writing modular and testable code and test cases (unit, functional and integration) using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Mock MVC

• Hands-on experience in Spring boot, concurrency, garbage collection, RESTful services, data caching services and ORM tools.

• Experience developing micro-services architecture, and good understanding of distributed concepts, common design principles, design patterns and cloud concepts.

• Experience working with React web and mobile along with tools like Flux, Flow, Redux.

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages.

• Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state.

• Experience working with Relational Database and writing complex SQL queries.

• Experience in working with NoSQL Databases like cosmos DB or similar.

• Experience in working with Caching technology like Redis, Mem cache or other related Systems.

• Experience utilising monitoring and alert tools like Prometheus, Splunk, and other related systems and excellent in debugging and troubleshooting issues.

• Building tools and CI/CD tools to automate code pipelines (Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Concord, Maven, and Gradle).

• Knowledge on Containerisation tools like Docker, Helm, Kubernetes.

• Knowledge on public cloud platforms like Azure, GCP etc.

• Experience in automation tests scripts, performance tests (jMeter) and DevOps orientation would be a plus.

• Good knowledge on Retail domain.

• Excellent problem solving, Critical and Analytical thinking skills
