Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Design, build, test, and deploy analytics models. Deliver business critical reporting and balanced scorecards for Walmart leadership. Deliver reliable and near real-time data analytics pipelines by developing REST-based Python APIs from sources such as Service Now, Jira, Omniture, Aceyus and proprietary tools such as ELM. Utilize technologies such as Azure SQL, React, Python, GraphQL, and Node.js for developing products to drive operational excellence across the organization. Involved in end-to-end design and implementation of API services for web applications using GraphQL framework. Design complex dashboards using Tableau to provide analysis on operational excellence KPIs. Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources using Python, Docker, and Kubernetes. Create, maintain, and write complex SQL database views and stored procedures in Azure SQL Server to build a reporting layer for data analysis. Utilize Tableau Prep Builder to clean, shape, and combine data sets for data analysis in Tableau. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop customized data solutions. Create and maintain documentation of data models, ETL processes, and KPI definitions for reports. Monitor and troubleshoot data loads and data quality issues to ensure minimal data downtime.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills required: Experience designing and implementing web applications using HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js. Experience designing and implementing GraphQL API with TypeScript. Experience writing complex queries in SQL using Azure SQL server/Oracle Database. Experience creating ETL data pipelines using Python Docker and Kubernetes. Experience building dashboards using data visualization tools. Experience cleaning data and combining sources. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
