What you'll do...

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Develop code using object-oriented programming languages including JAVA and Python and frameworks including Spring   Boot and Spring Batch. Write unit tests using JUnit. Design, develop and maintain RESTful services to integrate multiple modules. Design and build code that performs asynchronous processing using Kafka. Develop alerting and logging mechanism using Splunk. Deploy developed code using virtualized platform including Docker and Kubernetes. Develop code that interacts with SQL or NoSQL DB including Cosmos and MongoDB.  Work with source control tool Github for code maintenance. Deploy the applications using CICD pipelines including Jenkins using Maven. Design and implement solutions deployable to cloud infrastructure such as Azure and GCP. Analyze application logs, troubleshoot and fix production issues.  Deliver highly scalable and durable distributed systems. Collaborate with team members to deliver projects. Work with different stakeholders such as product/adjacent tech teams for requirement gathering and project execution. Participate and contribute to various stages such as requirement gathering, creating high level and detailed deigns based on requirements.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills required: Experience coding in Object oriented programming including Python and JAVA. Experience automating operational tasks of container management including deploying applications and scaling applications to fit changing needs using Kubernetes. Experience building, deploying, running, updating, and managing containers using Docker.  Experience designing and optimizing REST API using JAVA. Experience building and managing projects using Maven. Experience messaging using messaging broker including Rabbit MQ or Kafka. Experience developing microservices using frameworks including Spring Batch. Experience writing and executing automated tests with Junit and Mockito and testing framework testNG. Experience developing code to build highly available Distributed Systems. Experience working with source control tools including GitHub. Experience working with CICD tools including Jenkins. Experience working with dependency injection Framework using Google Guice. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
