What you'll do...

We are looking for a Lead Network Engineer to join the the growing Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) team at Walmart. This is an opportunity to work and troubleshoot across all network environments, deploy new technology to chain, and help provide overall stability and reliability for our network.

Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.
 

What you'll do:

• Deploy: Lead large scale network-wide deployments.
• Drive Efficiency: Analyze trends and identify opportunities to leverage automation for improved team performance.
• Innovate: Offer guidance to enhance Walmart’s network health and the customer/associate experience.
• Mentor and Train: Support fellow engineers through training, mentorship, and technical guidance.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate on strategic initiatives, identifying potential roadblocks and recommending alternative solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Work with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver effective solutions.
• Communicate: Translate complex technical solutions into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and business stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

• A positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
• Extensive network routing, switching, and overall engineering experience in LAN, WAN, and Data center environments.
• Ability to apply network skills and expertly operate and troubleshoot regardless of platform or vendor - Cisco, Juniper, Dell Sonic, Versa, and/or other.
• Intimate knowledge of and experience with deploying and troubleshooting SD-WAN, preferably Versa.
• Experience with alerting, SQL, and scripting is preferable.

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00
