What you'll do...

About the Role:

As the Senior Director of Product Strategy, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing product strategies for Global Tech Platforms (GTP). This pivotal role involves leading a core and a virtual team of product managers, with a crucial focus on boosting platform adoption, stability, and optimizing user experience and key business outcomes.

Your responsibilities will extend beyond the realms of traditional product strategy. You will be expected to articulate and implement the platform product strategy, identifying blockers to adoption, and understanding and enhancing the current product strategies of the pillars.

You will also be entrusted with the responsibility of providing a product perspective on cross-functional GTP initiatives, performing a gap analysis of services that we're not providing today but may be needed based on market trends and business needs.

Moreover, you will be tasked with developing relationships across GT to drive cross-functional collaboration, creating a framework for product across GTP to standardize product approach, and driving analysis of build vs buy solutions across GTP to fill product needs and gaps. You will also participate in investment and resource allocation discussions at the GTP level and partner with leadership to distill specific product strategies for wider consumption.

This position also necessitates extensive program planning, technical expertise, influential communication, and analytical problem-solving to drive product success and strategic alignment across the organization. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that our products not only meet market demands but also drives our GTP strategy.

What you'll do:

  • Define a cohesive GTP product portfolio narrative, integrating various product pillars into a comprehensive platform strategy.
  • Develop strategic positioning for GTP products, ensuring they are compellingly communicated to the market.
  • Align individual product strategies with the overarching GTP vision, working closely with L4 leaders.
  • Mentor and lead both a direct team and a virtual team of product managers across GTP to foster strategic alignment and execution excellence.
  • Oversee the prioritization of product investments to reflect GTP's strategic and financial objectives.
  • Facilitate a GTP-wide product collaboration forum, promoting innovative ideation and talent development.
  • Champion the incorporation of customer voice into product design to enhance functionality and market fit.
  • Monitor and analyze platform adoption metrics, understanding user behavior to drive continuous improvement and platform growth.
  • Translate adoption trends into actionable insights for product refinement and roadmap adjustments.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within your team, driving a focus on excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation. Ensure your team is effectively resourced, supported, and motivated to deliver on strategic goals and objectives. Engage in regular feedback and coaching sessions to support the professional growth and development of your team members.
  • Oversee the creation, execution, and management of business operations and financial plans that align with GTP's strategic objectives, including supervising the annual budgeting process, monitoring financial performance, and providing financial insights to the leadership team.
  • Lead and monitor headcount planning and trends in accordance with GTP's strategic goals and operational plans, strategizing for optimal workforce planning and resource allocation.
  • Manage all aspects of vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, risk, and issue management in collaboration with procurement and legal partners.

- Lead the virtual team of product managers in developing strategies to increase platform utilization and user satisfaction.

- Develop teams, tools, and methods to transform the operations and effectiveness of teams within a domain and the broader organization.

- Establish frameworks/methods to influence and/or drive technical decisions across initiatives.

- Techniques to translate requirements for software and hardware assets or platform capabilities.
