Position Summary...

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer III with experience in backend development using Java and related frameworks, databases, and Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, developing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable server-side applications. They will also provide technical support and mentorship to the development team.

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer III with experience in backend development using Java and related frameworks, databases, and Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, developing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable server-side applications. They will also provide technical support and mentorship to the development team.

What you'll do:

• Develop, and maintain robust and scalable server-side applications using Java and related frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, etc. Phython Knowledge preferred

•     Architect and optimize database schemas, queries, and related components for efficient data storage and retrieval using SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.

• Develop and maintain messaging systems using Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.

•   Integrate third-party APIs and services into the backend infrastructure as required.

•    Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and fix software defects and performance bottlenecks.

•  Optimize application performance and scalability through code refactoring, caching mechanisms, and performance tuning techniques.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of the backend infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring.

•     Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance the development process.

What you'll bring:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development using Java and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).

• Strong understanding of database concepts and extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with message queuing systems, preferably Kafka.

• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and provide innovative solutions.

• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.) and agile development methodologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers, conducting code reviews, and ensuring code quality.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
