Position Summary...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

What you'll do...

ADE Digital Media Solutions
The Digital Media Solutions team designs, manages and supports solutions for all in-store and corporate digital signage, print engineering and eSignature solutions.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans. 
• You will support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
• You will be part of the Team of software engineers to architect and develop a brand-new platform from the ground up.  
• Create and AI/ML model that will leverage device telemetry and support data to predict device malfunction/failures and apply corrective action programmatically.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise to drive a roadmap that optimizes value.

• Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a small group of highly skilled and motivated engineers.
• Conducts research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects. Recommends strategies by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
• Writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; collaborating with the project team and cross-functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; enhancing design to prevent re-occurrences of defects; ensuring on- time delivery and hand-offs.
• Seek ways to improve software and its effectiveness.
• Drive the design and development of innovative AI/ML models focusing on automation and operational excellence in customer support and experience.
• Manage end-to-end project execution, from planning and data collection to model prototyping and deployment, while effectively communicating with stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• Apply broad knowledge of ML/AI capabilities and the latest generative AI technologies to identify growth areas, new and emerging opportunities. 
• Shares highly complex information related to areas of expertise. Interacts with senior management to keep abreast of objectives. Interacts with peers to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes and programs. Builds and enhances key internal and external contacts.

What you'll bring:

• 7+ years of experience in design and development of consumer facing software.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly.
• Strong hands-on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to apply AI/ML techniques to real-world problems.
• Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.
• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies
• Advanced Java or/and Python development experience with building highly scalable applications
• Proficiency in Azure & GCP
• Familiarity with NLP techniques and related algorithms
• Experience in Computer Science or statistics or engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of deep learning concepts and their applications in NLP.
• Awareness of software engineering principles, ability to develop and deploy appropriate analytic code suitable for production.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD and MLOps
• Prior experience in building applications powered by modern generative AI technologies.
• Strong growth mindset and a passion for staying updated with the latest developments in the AI/ML community.
• Nice to have: Experience with Generative AI
• Nice to have: Chat & Voice bot development experience.
• Nice to have: Basic experience of Kubernetes and dev ops
