Position Summary

The Electrical and Low Voltage Combination Technician will support infrastructure initiatives across multiple and continuous retail sites with a strong emphasis on travel-based field work. This role combines electrical expertise with low voltage/data experience to support critical network, power, and infrastructure upgrades. • Conduct MDF and IDF room cleanups, including cable management, labeling, re-termination and documentation
  • Execute re-cabling projects for departments or operational areas needing infrastructure refresh.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, network maps and construction plans
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, low voltage standards, safety procedures and company guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, internal stakeholders and site contacts to coordinate work and provide updates
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and conditions found
  • Troubleshoot electrical or network related issues onsite and recommend corrective actions
  • Travel extensively to assigned sites, often with short notice, to support project schedules

Required Qualifications

  • Electrical Journeyman or Apprentice license
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical, low voltage or data infrastructure work
  • Proven experience with network equipment installation, including switches and rack mounted components
  • Ability to safely disconnect/reconnect power and perform basic electrical modifications
  • Strong understanding of MDF/IDF best practices, cable management and structured cabling standards
  • Ability to lift, mount and secure heavy cabinets and equipment up to 75 pounds
  • Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel 75-100% of the time
  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of providing clear status updates and work documentation
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined or elevated spaces

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in retail, warehouse or large enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with NEC, TIA/EIA cabling standards and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Experience with fiber optic termination, network testing tools and cable certification hardware
