Sr. DevOps Engineer

Role purpose

Providing Global IT integration, support and DevOps Lead with Kubernetes who can create, lead and deliver a production-ready solution that can host application from multiple client at private cloud which is a set of software products designed for accelerating the delivery of secure, reliable modern applications. It is a combination of a common platform, several key applications and a dashboard targeted at managing the core lifecycle of applications for all branches of Vodafone Companies around the world.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Designing, implementing, and managing secure and scalable on-premises and cloud environments. 
• Developing middleware applications and using Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet for automation. 
• Building and optimizing CI/CD workflows with Jenkins, Git, and Nexus. 
• Managing and deploying Kubernetes and Docker workloads. 
• Ensuring high availability, performance, and security of Linux-based infrastructure.   

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  Development Background – Java (preferred) or equivalent programming experience. 

  CI/CD & Version Control – Git, Jenkins, Nexus (Preferred), Maven (Preferred). 

  Infrastructure as Code & Automation – Terraform, Terragrunt (Preferred), Ansible, Puppet. 

  Cloud & Containerization – AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker. 

  Monitoring & Logging – Checkmk (Preferred). 

  Middleware & Workflows – WebLogic, ArgoCD (Preferred), Argo Workflow (Preferred). 

  IT Infrastructure – Linux Administration, DNS, Proxy, Networking. 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

3 years experience in Software Development with DevOps and middleware management basics
