Senior cloud operation Engineer - VOIS

Role purpose:

Deployment\Build Engineer is responsible for Assessing and Migrating customers resources, on-boarding Vodafone new customers on Vodafone AWS Reseller/ Vodafone managed Azure CSP and on other Vodafone tools. 
 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

•    Assessing and Migrating Vodafone customers’ resources from Microsoft direct / other CSP to Vodafone Azure CSP and from AWS direct to Vodafone AWS reseller account.
•    Administration of Microsoft CSP portals and of AWS reseller accounts. 
•    Onboarding Vodafone customers to Vodafone AWS reseller, Vodafone Managed azure CSP, Cloud health platform and VBMP (Vodafone Business Multi cloud Platform).
•    Migrating customers to AWS SES (Simple Email Service) and the management of SES service.
•    Provide 3rd level of support AWS and Azure cases.
•    Providing AWS/Azure trainings to Markets as well as other team members.

Key performance indicators [max 3]:
•    Assessing, Managing, Planning and Technically leading the customer environment migrations within a predefined timeline.
•    Ensuring the migration is successfully implemented during the build phase with minimal downtime for the customer environment during the migration time window and all contractual obligations are fulfilled before handing over to run teams.
•    Managing multiple projects simultaneously and keeping track of progress on all in progress and pending activities.
•    Ensuring Service availability and handle Issues related to SES, monitoring the bounces and other alarms and take action to mitigate them.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

•    Risk identification and management
•    Ability to Manage and drive performance of third-party suppliers and Vendors.
•    Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and management skills.
•    Practical experience with AWS or Azure platforms.
•    Experience in application/workload migration to public cloud providers.
•    Knowledge with System Architecture and Security tools.
•    Experience collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators, across business units internally and at large enterprises.
•    Broad understanding of customer needs; business requirements and how customer use cloud technology.
•    Knowledge with Microsoft Office 365.
•    Knowledge with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

•    At least 2x of public cloud certifications from AWS, Azure or GCP.
•     Bachelors (or equivalent degree level) education in a technology field.
•    4+ years of experience in infrastructure operations and system administration with at least 2 years of focus on cloud services and migrations.
•    Solid understanding of cloud principles and services, as well as how to run various workloads on the cloud.
•    Excellent troubleshooting and innovative problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to act quickly.
•    Strong experience in Windows & Linux administration
•    Knowledge of networking, security, and virtual hosting technologies.
•     Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools for release and deployment.
