Senior Back End Developer (DXL squad)

The successful candidate is proficient in Java Back-end coding, with a track record. His primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining the code, writing unit tests and proposing technical solutions for implementing new functionalities in Digital area. Needs to be team oriented and to easily collaborate with other developers, system analysts, architects, quality assurance and Devops engineers in order to deliver and maintain new features to the product

What you’ll do:

• Understand the functional and technical specifications, which will be further used to transform application prototypes into high quality software products;
• Participate with input together with System analysts and Solution Architects in creation of end to end solution for newly functionalities, with attention to details but having all the time the big picture in mind;    
• Develop well-structured & well documented code following company standards;
• Plan and schedule deployment deliverables, goals and milestones;
• Provide technical solutions to complex programming problems.

Technical / Professional Qualifications and Expertise:

• Core Development:
  • Minimum 3 years experience with Java 8+ (we use Java 21 in production)
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud for microservices
  • Experience building and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL)
• Testing Expertise:
  • Strong experience with JUnit 5 and Mockito for unit testing
  • Integration testing with TestContainers is a plus
  • Experience with test design patterns and testing best practices
• Event Processing & Messaging:
  • Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures
  • Understanding of async/sync communication patterns
  • Kafka Streams and Kafka Connect knowledge is a plus
• Data Layer:
  • Experience with MongoDB and AWS S3 for document/object storage
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
  • Experience with caching solutions (Redis)
• Development Tools & Practices:
  • Git/GitLab for version control
  • Jenkins for CI/CD
  • Jira and Confluence for project tracking
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices (TDD, Clean Code)
• Architecture Understanding:
  • Microservices architecture principles
  • API design and patterns
  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts (AWS)
• Monitoring & Support:
  • Experience with Grafana, Prometheus for monitoring and tracing
  • ELK Stack for log aggregation and analysis
