Role purpose
As an iOS Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and maintenance of our consumer mobile application. You will be responsible for leading a team of iOS developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Technical Leadership:
o Oversee the technical design, development, and implementation of iOS features and functionalities.
o Mentor and guide a team of iOS developers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
o Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS technologies and trends to ensure our application remains cutting-edge.
• Project Management:
o Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.
o Manage project deliverables, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
o Identify and mitigate technical risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure project success.
• Code Quality:
o Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices to maintain code quality and consistency.
o Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
o Implement automated testing and continuous integration to ensure code reliability.
• Collaboration:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, designers, and quality assurance specialists.
o Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
Required competencies, knowledge, and experience
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
• In-depth knowledge of iOS development frameworks, including UIKit, Core Data, and Core Animation.
• Experience with iOS design patterns and architectural approaches (e.g., MVVM, VIPER).
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring iOS development teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Nice to have technical and professional qualifications
• Experience with mobile app performance optimization and testing.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
