Location: Farnborough or Bristol (onsite)
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

What you’ll do  

Provide support to a Cyber Security Engineering and SOC team that provides Managed Security Services, including Protective Monitoring (SIEM), Managed Firewall and IPS services for both Vodafone and its customers. 

• Implement and maintain SOC infrastructure – Analyst systems, SIEM and Log/Event Collection systems
• Investigate threats and vulnerabilities affecting Vodafone network infrastructure
• Support customer deployments & user acceptance testing
• Provide in-depth IT/Network support to SOC Analysts and other Cyber Defence, Security and Incident Response teams.

Who you are   

• Experience of working as an SOC Analyst, IT/Network/Security Engineer, ideally in an telecoms/ISP environment (3yrs)
• Knowledge of a wide range of security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls.
• IT Systems – Windows, Linux, VMWare, AWS/Azure
• Scripting – Python, PHP, Powershell
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Security Clearance: This position requires the person to hold or to be eligible to undergo UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
