Cloud Solutions Sr. Solutions Architect

Role Purpose:

To deliver the customer Virtual Foundation & Telco over Cloud infrastructure in accordance with the strategy and the goals of the domain. 
Accountable and responsible for the deployment of Telco Cloud solutions.
Perform the onboarding of Cloud functions into customer virtualized environment
Particular technology focus on virtualization infrastructure (hypervisor, computing, storage, Network - physical or virtual), remote access solutions, cloud, security and backup solutions. 
Working with the On Boarding team to automated delivery and integrations.
Driving the harmonisation and consolidation strategy of OSS Telco Over Cloud systems within the sub-domain.
 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

•    Responsible for the delivery lifecycle management of assigned solutions within Europe 
•    Coordinating suppliers, engage with peers and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of functionality and quality in projects 
•    Develop the strategy for the subdomain and initiate projects and control initiatives contributing to that. 
•    Deliver the telco over cloud solutions to the customer according to the agreed plan and with high quality.
•    Manage the detailed budget and long range planning and ensuring the timely delivery  meeting or exceeding Capex targets

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

•    University degree in computer science or engineering or similar
•    More than 7 years professional experience in virtualization and cloud domain
•    Deep knowledge of IT Life Cycle and project management
•    Strong focus on delivery and working experience in project management
•    Cloud computing architecture and design (IT and Telco)
•    Design and deployment experience with the VMware Telco Cloud Suite. OpenStack  in Telco/NFV environments will  be a plus 
•    Working knowledge of mobile network architecture and design
•    Experience in large scale deployment of Linux and/or Windows OS and backup solutions.
•    Knowledge of data centre infrastructure, cloud, virtualization architectures and operational processes 
•    Practical development expertise or scripting experience in either Linux Bash, Power Shell, Python, JavaScript, Perl or other languages 
•    Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
•     Cloud providers knowledge and or Cisco CCNA/CCNP will be a plus
