Embeded Systems Engineer Intern
Department: Engineering
Location: Paris
Employment Type: FullTime
π― Mission
At Vizzia, we design video surveillance units deployed in the field to help secure cities.
Around these units, many strategic hardware projects revolve: solar panels, test benches, high-capacity batteries, accessories, consumables, and specific subsystems.
Your mission: accelerate the development of these technical building blocks by rapidly transforming ideas into functional prototypes, and then into robust, industrialized systems.
You step in where structure, execution, and momentum are needed. From concept to POC. From POC to pre-series. With a strong focus on quality, reliability, and documentation.
π οΈ Responsibilities
You will contribute to a full Hardware project (to be defined depending on priorities) - from idea to pre-series.
Concretely, this may include:
Translating product needs into a functional electronic architecture (component selection, constraints, schematics)
Designing production-ready multi-layer schematics and PCBs with zero critical errors
Developing structured embedded firmware in C (ESP32, STM32, Arduino-class)
Integrating mechanical constraints (form factor, connectors, thermal dissipation) from the design phase
Assembling, soldering, debugging, and bringing up prototypes independently
Designing test benches
Preparing a pre-series (~10 units): BOM stability, supplier files, manufacturability
Producing clear and reusable documentation
π In short: you can work on everything β from the first schematic to a product ready for replication.
β Profile
Engineering student specialized in electronics or embedded systems (gap year or final internship)
Able to design a complete PCB independently (schematic + layout)
Comfortable with embedded C (interrupt handling, I2C, SPI, UART, debugging)
Hands-on hardware prototyping experience (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
Understanding of industrialization basics (BOM structuring, DFM, small production runs)
Structured, rigorous, capable of root cause analysis
Strong learning ability and autonomy
Nice to have:
Experience in a robotics club
DIY
3D printing
