Job Description

As a member of Corporate Cloud Engineering this role will provide 3rd level Corporate IT Engineering.  The successful candidate will be based in Bogota and will be a key contributor delivering outstanding customer experience with VDI systems, Managed File Transfer, Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies to ensure that the end user experience is exceptional. The candidate will work with an existing team to help build out train our 2nd level Operations team for support and maintenance and be available for any escalations.

The individual must possess understanding of Microsoft O365 and cloud computing with focus on Windows clients and servers, Virtual Machines, Managed File Transfer, Intune, AD FS, AD Connect and familiarity with SSO capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  • User Management: Setting up and managing user accounts and groups, including assigning licenses and permissions.
  • System Maintenance: Regularly monitoring and maintaining the health of the Office 365 environment, including updates and patches.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Providing technical support to users for Office 365 applications, resolving issues related to access, functionality, and performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication Tools: Overseeing the use of Office 365 collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Security and Compliance: Implementing and monitoring security measures to protect data, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Training and Documentation: Assisting in the development and delivery of training materials for users and maintaining documentation on system configurations and procedures.
  • Collaboration with IT Teams: Working closely with other IT staff, such as network administrators and IT support personnel, to ensure a seamless and efficient technology environment.
  • Change Management: Assisting with the implementation of changes and new features in the Office 365 environment.
  • Reporting: Generating reports on usage, performance, and other metrics as required.
  • Staying Updated: Keeping up-to-date with the latest Office 365 features and best practices.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years IT experience in Office 365, Azure and Client Engineering with equivalent professionally qualified education and experience such as Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technology field.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications are highly desirable. Certifications may include:
    • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) or equivalent work experience preferred.
    • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar certifications.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services and applications, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
    • Basic understanding of network and cloud technologies, including DNS, TCP/IP, and cloud computing principles.
    • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks in Microsoft 365 is a plus.
    • Understanding of Citrix VDI environments
    • Understanding of Managed File Transfer technologies, protocols, and PCI-DSS Compliance.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, as the role often involves assisting non-technical users.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience:
    • Experience through internships or practical projects in managing IT environments or using Microsoft 365 is preferred.
    • Experience in a helpdesk or IT support role can be relevant.
  • Understanding of IT Best Practices:
    • Basic knowledge of IT security practices, data privacy laws, and compliance standards relevant to Office 365.
    • Familiarity with IT service management principles and best practices.
  • Learning and Adaptability:
    • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt, as Office 365 services are frequently updated with new features and capabilities.
  • Other Desirable Skills:
    • Experience with other cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
    • Understanding of project management and collaboration tools.
    • Basic understanding of Network, Load Balancer, Firewall, ADFS, WAP
    • Experience with CASB such as MCAS or Netskope
    • Experience with SSO, SAML2, OIDC, OAUTH is not required but a bonus.
    • Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex
    • Office 365 and Windows Hybrid Domain Join environments.
