Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) division’s charter is to capture new sources of money movement through card and non-card flows, including Visa Commercial Solutions, Government Solutions and Visa Direct which presents an enormous growth opportunity. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments. 

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) and Visa Government Solutions (VGS) team is a world-class technology organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand products into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. Visa is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer as a front-end developer for the Business Solution Product Development team. The Business Solutions Product Development team is part of Visa’s Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) organization and is responsible for designing, developing and managing 20+ applications and services for Visa’s Business Solutions line of products. Our range of products include data processing, business intelligence, data mining, and B2B payments solutions.

Primary responsibilities for this role will include:

• As part of a cross functional scrum team, design, develop & test new applications and maintain existing applications.

• Understand the requirement, come up with the best user-friendly interface, which is simple, elegant, easy to use and follows Visa UI principles.

• Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and UI best practices.

• Work with Architects, Product Owners, Project Managers, QA and other developers to successfully implement business requirements while applying the latest available tools and technology.

• Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate to ensure the quality of work delivered by teammates is in accordance with development standards.

• Build working relationships with global and virtual teams on software development.

• Have a passion for delivering zero defect code and be responsible for ensuring the team's deliverables meet or exceed business expectations.

• Identify opportunities for product innovation and strive for improvements to best practices, standards and processes.

• Mentor junior developers to ensure deliverables are on time with good code quality.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) in Computer Science, or related technology/engineering discipline.
• Experience in developing the enterprise grade software products at scale.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering with coding languages such as Java and related frameworks like SpringBoot.
• Development experience in building and using Microservices, specifically with HTTP, REST, JSON.
• Experience with a Relational database and/or NoSQL database.
• Experience in UI/UX development using Angular or equivalent UI platform.
• Proficient in GIT/Stash, Maven, Jenkins etc.
• Exposure to NGINX, Cloud deployments etc.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative software development lifecycle principles
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
