You will be a part of the Enterprise Risk Solutions team, contributing to the design, enhancement, and construction of our transactional Fraud detection engine in an Agile development environment. You will collaborate with colleagues who will support and challenge you on a daily basis. As a full stack developer, you will enjoy creating real-time transactional services that are highly functional, distributed, secure, scalable, and resilient. You will engage with Machine Learning and explore its applications in fraud detection. Participating in self-managing Agile teams, you will be involved in end-to-end product development with a focus on unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration to ensure excellent code quality. You will have the opportunity to see the code you write move into production within just a few days and be used by a large customer base. You will drive innovation, differentiating our products from our competitors and delighting customers with faster market delivery times.

Some of Your Key Responsibilities

• Helping customers achieve their goals by understanding their requirements and business needs.
• Using a variety of technologies including Java, REST, NoSQL, Docker, and more.
• Venturing into Machine Learning and Deep Learning to build fraud models.
• Working with Technical Product Management to understand business requirements and architect robust and scalable solutions, while also providing technical documentation.
• Leveraging your work and academic experiences that demonstrate proficiency in programming languages, code quality initiatives, scripting languages, and operating systems.
• Making use of new technologies to build the next generation of Risk Services.
• Playing a key role in designing and implementing various components of our global transaction processing systems.
• Excelling in communication and interpersonal skills, and being a team player above all.
• Prior experience in software development and cloud computing is often required. This might include experience with platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Strong proficiency in Java, REST APIs, JSON, and exposure to container technologies.
• Experience in translating wireframes/mockups into functional HTML/JavaScript prototypes.
• Full-stack engineering experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, CSS4, Redux, Riot.js, and React.js.
• Strong experience with Agile development incorporating TDD, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Sonar, JUnit, Mock frameworks.
• Experience building enterprise-class applications that use industry best practices for reliability, availability, scalability, and operability.
• Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning, and ML libraries/tools is a plus.
• Exposure to Big Data and analytics technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra.
• Experience in performing component security analysis, including code and data flow review. Collaborating with security teams to implement and verify secure coding techniques.
• Curious and creative, with the ability to work well with partners and create innovative solutions.
• Quick learner with a strong work ethic.
• Passionate about working with people and contributing to best practices.
• A background in the fraud detection domain is a plus.
• Knowledge of how to design, implement, and manage applications on the cloud, including understanding of microservices architecture, serverless architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
