Job Description

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be part of our Visa Client Express Platform to help design, enhance and build our client onboarding platform in an agile development environment. You will work with colleagues, who will support and challenge you daily. You will play part of multiple teams tasked with multiple projects ranging from building full stack development of real-time transactional services, REST services API, Container based services to highly functional, secure, scalable and resilient real time and batching systems. You will work on unit testing, code reviews and regular check-ins to continuous integration that will become part of your DNA.

Job responsibilities

Our engineers do more than just write code:

  • Develop new user-facing features using React.js, Angular or other popular frontend libraries/frameworks.

  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.

  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

  • Participate in agile development processes in SDLC including sprint planning, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of  any Relational Database system like MySQL, Postgres etc.
  • Familiarity with java and spring boot framework.
  • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and project management skills.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • You have experience architecting solutions with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery in mind

  • While you’ll have the skill to see and understand the big picture, you’re able to stay focused on the task at hand to achieve immediate goals
