Job Description

Visa’s Corporate IT (CIT) organization is adding a ServiceNow Developer role in Bangalore to its People Technology team, focused on People Technology solutions.  

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your expertise in front-end portal and mobile development to enhance the user experience and drive efficiency within our ServiceNow ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement front-end portal and mobile applications on the ServiceNow platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documentation.
• Develop and optimize user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, etc.).
• Implement responsive designs that are compatible with various devices and screen sizes.
• Integrate ServiceNow applications with external systems and APIs.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to front-end development.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to ServiceNow development.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on front-end portal and mobile development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related frameworks (Angular, React, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices and coding standards.
• Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal and Mobile App Development Framework (MADF).
• Proven track record of designing and implementing user-friendly and visually appealing front-end interfaces.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of external systems with ServiceNow.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
• Experience with other programming languages commonly used in ServiceNow development (Java, Jelly, etc.).
• 3+ years ServiceNow advanced portal development, HRSD Module (Life Cycle Events, Case and Knowledge management) experience REQUIRED.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
