Job Description

Corporate IT: CIT builds, operates and maintains the IT systems and infrastructure necessary to enable a highly connected and collaborative workforce that helps power Visa’s business.

We support full life-cycle delivery and ongoing support of strategic technology initiatives for the Legal & Compliance business units, and the global employee community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and improve web and database software applications using open source technologies to support Visa’s Legal, Compliance and Privacy business operations
• Configure and implement packaged applications and develop integrations with other packaged applications or custom applications in our ecosystem
• Review business requirements and develop detailed system architecture, technical designs, pseudo code and data flow documentations
• Work with multiple engineering teams and collaborate to deliver secure, high performing and scalable solutions within expected timelines
• Participate in code reviews of peers, develop standard processes
• Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize tasks/deliverables to improve business impact/benefit
• Triage system/solution defects, perform root cause analysis and develop resolution plans in a timely manner
• Work with minimum daily mentorship to complete assigned tasks optimally

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability in software development, application implementation and support
• Development experience using PL-SQL (primary skill), SQL, Shell, Python, JavaScript
• Experience in system integration with 3rd party APIs, data exchange and use of encryption technologies
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and frameworks such as Flask and/or Django
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, Oracle Apex, MySQL, MS SQL and/or Postgres SQL
• Familiarity with database architecture and design, ability to develop data models
• Working knowledge of Hadoop and Unix
• Knowledge and experience in developing test strategy
• Familiarity with configuring CI/CD pipeline using industry standard tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Maven etc. Exposure to defining and implementing standard processes in using them.
