Job Description

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Engineer - Sr. Consultant Level (multiple openings) in Ashburn, VA to

• Works with Solution or Enterprise Architecture to translate architecture into a delivered solution that realizes the vision and purpose.
• Provides the technical guidance the project needs to meet the wider goals of the org strategy.
• Effectively translates functional and non- functional requirements into an engineered solution.
• Understanding and analyzing the architecture of an existing solution.
• Leads and supports both product and technical discussions about how to apply existing and new technology in support of the business.
• Mentor others through informal sessions such as brown bags and tech talks.
• Own and lead the engineering responsibility for multiple components in a project.
• Provides consultative work throughout the project lifecycle to ensure vision and goal of project is realized through delivery.
• Coordinates engineering activities across the delivery of the project.
• Works with engineers to ensure they are delivering quality and efficiently against project requirements.
• Supports operational and QA teams in support activities such as troubleshooting, defect research, code promotion and configuration for projects lead by the engineer.
• Position reports to the Ashburn, Virginia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
• Travel required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineerrelated occupation.
• Position requires experience in the following:
• Software product development (Java/J2EE, SOAP/REST web services);
• Designing architectural horizontally scalable, multi-tenant SOA application;
• Implementing design patterns;
• Java, J2EE, RDBMS, NoSQL DB such as Cassandra or Mongo DB, Spring, and Hibernate;
• Developing and deploying components as docker containers;
• Understanding Security requirements and standards, and contemporary trends in Security risks as well as technologies;
• Security domain with authentication, authorization and building secure gateway;
• Developing & deploying services in any one of the cloud environment like GCP or Azure or AWS;
• Deployment and distribution lifecycle with automated and scalable CI/CD infrastructure;
• Third-party libraries and APIs; and
• CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Maven and Git or Stash.

Additional Information

Worksite: Ashburn, VA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: Travel required.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $137,134.00 USD to $212,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
