Job Description

Visa USA Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Senior Manager – Data Engineering (multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA to:

• Establish data processes and automation based on business and technology requirements, leveraging Visa's supported data platforms and tools.
• Deliver small to large data engineering projects either individually or as part of a project team.
• Develop and maintain data models and schema designs for efficient data storage and retrieval, with a strong understanding of best practices in data modeling and data architecture.
• Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse, with a strong focus on reusability, performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality, with a focus on implementing data validation and data quality checks at various stages of the pipeline.
• Provide expertise in data warehousing, ETL, and data modeling to support data-driven decision making, with a strong understanding of best practices in data pipeline design and performance optimization.
• Extract and manipulate large datasets using standard tools such as Hadoop (Hive), Spark, Python (pandas, NumPy), Presto, and SQL.
• Develop data solutions using Agile principles.
• Provide ongoing production support.
• Communicate complex concepts in a clear and effective manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering trends and technologies to ensure the company's data infrastructure is always state-of-the-art, with an understanding of best practices in cloud-based data engineering.
• Position reports to the employer's Atlanta, GA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Manager - Data Engineering-related occupation. 
• Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Databricks, SQL, and Airflow.
• Business Intelligence tools: SSIS, Tableau, Power BI, ODI, and SQL.
• Programing Language: Python or JAVA.
• Data Science and Machine Learning: Python, MLOps applications.
• Cloud Technologies: AWS or Azure or GCP.
• Data Architecture and modeling: Visio, and DW modeling applications.

Additional Information

Worksite: Atlanta, GA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:  This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $ 164,299.00 USD to $219,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
