Job Description

  • Overall responsibility for GTM strategy, solution management and commercialisation of the ‘Consumer Solutions’ portfolio for the UK & Ireland markets; Core solutions (credit, instalments, debit and prepaid) , Everyday Payment solutions (Visa Issuer APIs and Partner-based solutions for consumer proposition), Premium and Loyalty solutions, and deployment across clients: issuers, fintechs, agents and processors
  • Lead a team of Product managers that will act as both the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Specialised Sales across the Visa’s Consumer Solutions, ensuring client-facing teams have the knowledge, collateral and support they need to rapidly grow product penetration and revenue.
  • Responsible for the mid and long term commercialisation of Consumer solutions to ensure that Visa achieves its business and growth objectives and provide active feedback and requirement into the Regional/Global product roadmaps to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and market ready and continue to innovate to reflect customer and consumers needs
  • Be responsible for P&L, revenues (direct and indirect) for all Consumer solutions in UK & I, including existing solutions and those in early ideation and concept stages, and work closely with the Value-Added-Services (VAS) organisation to propose end-to-end solutions to clients (e.g., Banking and Lending, Categorisation, Pre-dispute, etc.)
    • Grow current consumer credit portfolios across European clients, energise dormant/stagnant portfolios, support premium portfolio growth, enhance portfolios in an ethical manner to ensure affordability and regulatory compliance
    • Deepen prepaid and debit portfolios across clients, ensuring feature and pricing competitiveness including deployment of debit card based instalments
    • Scale the Premium, Loyalty and Cross-border opportunities across the cluster and connect the dots between client needs and available capabilities across Consumer solutions and the wider Product team
    • Drive solutions adoption in European markets and look at commercial opportunities to scale/distribute that allows for broadening credit and instalments products across new markets (e.g. Ireland), and expanding in existing markets (e.g., UK)
       
  • Drive critical client engagements at both senior and working-team levels across the sales and commercialisation cycle of the various solutions, and actively manage pipeline of sales opportunities across clients types and against annual P&L targets, and work closely with the sales organisation (VAS, AEs) to drive deals and projects to closure.
  • Provide active feedback and requirements, and identify product gaps opportunities based on market trends and forward thinking, into the Regional/Global product roadmaps to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and market ready and continue to innovate to reflect customer and consumers needs
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to leadership levels of Visa management on key metrics and objectives; adapt overall programme tactics and strategies to address challenges/issues/opportunities
  • As requirements of this role and key priorities and initiatives evolve, adapt to growing needs of the team and broader Products organisation
  • People are a critical resource at Visa. Actively manage the team, help prioritise activities and opportunities, while providing mentoring and coaching to direct reports and helping identify growth and development opportunities for team members within the team and across the wider Visa organisation

  • 15+ years of product management experience in technology or financial services roles
  • Deep background in an issuing institution managing and growing credit portfolios
  • Industry knowledge of BNPL and solution vendors is nice to have
  • Curious and inquisitive problem solver – thrives in difficult and big problem spaces
  • Rigorous thinker, ability to transpose business, financial and technical understanding to relevant market inputs with sales and product teams as well as with external client discussions – leading to commercial & revenue opportunities
  • Deep understanding of how to scale and distribute products/services within a technology company
  • Ownership and driving impact are important aspects to the role, must have the mindset to fully understand and quickly overcome commercial, technical, industry and internal challenges to succeed
  • Comfortable in iterative and continuous change to maximise opportunities and drive efficiencies
  • Strong ability to progress solutions and enhancements with urgency and prioritised focus for commercial and strategic benefits for our customers and Visa
