Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Data Engineer - Sr. Consultant Level (multiple openings) in Ashburn, VA to 
•    Join several large data sets, correlate security information with internal data repositories, automate manual security processes, and provide analytical insights to senior management. 
•    Responsible for pulling and integrating large data sets, using internal tools and software. 
•    Absorb security findings data from multiple tools and sources to an analytics platform to provide self-service capabilities at an enterprise level. 
•    Normalize and de-duplicate data where appropriate. 
•    Understand the downstream impacts a development change can create. 
•    Prioritize and smart route information to appropriate data owners. 
•    Determine thresholds and triggers for various data sets. 
•    Report key metrics across different functional teams. 
•    Design and implement workflow. 
•    Handle inquiries and information requests from internal clients. 
•    Maintain qualitative practices within the team to ensure consistency in delivery of information. 
•    Uncover problems in the data sets and also propose and implement solutions. 
•    Facilitate business conclusions by understanding and presenting the message behind the raw data. 
•    Position reports to the Employer’s Ashburn, Virginia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.

Additional Information

Worksite: Ashburn, VA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $149,594.00 USD to $232,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
