Job Description

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Cybersecurity Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to

• Analyze software designs and implementations from a security perspective and identify and resolve security issues.
• Responsible for the appropriate security analysis, defenses, and countermeasures at each phase of the software development lifecycle, to result in robust and reliable software.
• Review findings from various security tools and will work to remediate or coordinate the dissemination of security findings to product teams.
• Manage cross-functional internal and external team collaboration and communications.
• Create and manage custom security implementations that could be used to patch security findings in multiple applications.
• Maintain and enhance processes around security findings reporting and application security implementations.
• May telecommute.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Cybersecurity Engineer-related occupation
• Object-oriented programming principles
• Software Development Lifecycle, Agile methodology, and Jira
• OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25
• Java, C#, JavaScript, and HTML
• Web applications, web servers, layer 7 application technologies, frameworks, and protocols with respect to application development and deployment
• Application Security (APPSEC), DAST, SAST, and fuzzing tools and techniques.
• Research on security issues, document adequate references, create Proof-Of-Concepts for exploits.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $113,000.00 USD to $175,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
