Information about the position 

We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to help evolve and scale a Database infrastructure that consists of more than ~3200 fat servers in 4 data centers and multiple regions. As part of the Production Engineering team, you’ll work with us on a Database infrastructure and related tooling. Here are some of the technologies we use: Rocky Linux, Chef, Kubernetes, Vitess, MySQL, Temporal,  ArgoCD, Jenkins, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Thanos, Jaeger, Nginx, Ceph, Mcrouter, Memcached, Redis, Kafka, JVM, Go, Consul, Docker, Istio.

In this position, you’ll  

  • Build, maintain, improve and scale the Vitess infrastructure which serves 2 Million queries per second
  • Automate operations with Temporal workflows
  • Build and improve tooling around our Database infrastructure

About you 

  • At least 2 years of programming experience
  • A curious and responsible individual who wants to learn and master concepts and technologies we use 
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Good knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Advantage: Knowledge of Go and Ruby programing languages
