Engineering Manager, Seller

Information about the position 

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join one of our Product Engineering teams at Vinted Marketplace.

You will join the Seller domain - Ads team to drive sustainable growth by diversifying revenue on the Vinted platform. This team focuses on monetisation through innovative ad tactics, including high-impact native and full-screen video formats, while prioritizing member-centricity and ad quality to ensure a seamless member experience on Vinted.

In this position, you’ll 

Be accountable for

• Results of a team (delivery management and quality of engineering)
• Processes and procedures in a team (working in the right ways on the right things)
• People in the team (ensuring that we have great people working in true harmony)

In practice, it means 

• Work in a cross-functional team (±6 engineers that you would be leading, Product Manager, Product Designer and Data Analyst)
• Forge strong partnerships with Product Management to align Engineering efforts with strategic business goals
• Ensure the team’s delivery according to the quarterly roadmap
• Collaborate closely with other Engineering Managers and Agile Coache to bring continuous improvements to your team and our domain
• Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work and ensure the team has a set of processes that enables them to be effective
• Focus on the professional and personal growth of your team and yourself, including conducting performance and compensation reviews
• Work on team’s maturity: a group of people who trust each other, are not afraid of conflict, are committed and accountable, and care about results

About you 

• Passionate about sustainability and eager to contribute to Vinted’s mission of making second-hand the first choice worldwide
• Proven experience leading a software engineering team and delivering results
• Know how to make teams effective, manage scopes and deliverables
• Have experience building a team & hiring new team members
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
• Able to confidently communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and foster open dialogue across levels
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
• Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English

The salary range for this position is € 6,200 - € 8,400 gross per month.
