Role Summary & Key Objectives
We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer (HTML + WordPress Theming) to build high-quality, responsive, and pixel-perfect web interfaces. The role requires strong expertise in HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, and custom WordPress theme development.
You will collaborate closely with designers, backend teams, and digital marketing teams to deliver optimized, scalable, and SEO-friendly websites with smooth user experiences.
The key objective is to develop clean, maintainable front-end code and custom WordPress themes that align with design specs and performance standards.
Core Responsibilities
Develop responsive UI/UX layouts using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Bootstrap/Tailwind, and JavaScript.
Convert Figma/Adobe XD/Sketch designs into pixel-perfect WordPress themes and templates.
Build, customize, and maintain WordPress themes, page templates, custom post types, and widgets.
Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
Work with backend developers to integrate APIs, dynamic content, and advanced WordPress functionality.
Conduct regular code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
Ensure adherence to UI/UX standards, accessibility guidelines, and best practices in front-end development.
Must-Have Skills
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
Hands-on experience in WordPress theme development (custom themes, hooks, filters, template hierarchy).
Comfortable working with Figma / Adobe XD / Sketch for design slicing.
Knowledge of Bootstrap/Tailwind or similar frameworks.
Understanding of WordPress CMS architecture, custom post types, taxonomies, and plugin integration.
Experience optimizing websites for page speed (Lighthouse, GTmetrix), responsive layouts, and SEO.
Proficiency with Git, version control workflows, and basic CLI operations.
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to translate design into exact front-end output.
Good communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Ability to manage tasks independently and deliver within timelines.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to debug front-end issues quickly.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience in Gulp/Webpack/Vite or modern front-end build tools.
Knowledge of React, Vue, or Alpine.js for interactions or components.
Understanding of PHP basics for WordPress theme customization.
Familiarity with WooCommerce theming.
Exposure to WordPress security, caching, and hosting environments.
Experience Requirements
5–7 years of professional experience in front-end development.
Minimum 3+ years in custom WordPress theming.
Experience working with digital agencies, product teams, or marketing tech teams is a plus.
