[DT] : Senior ETL / Azure Data Engineer

- Review existing data sources, manual CSV files, and Azure SQL setup
- Design a scalable ETL architecture using API-based data ingestion
- Define infrastructure, data pipeline flow, and technical approach
- Provide high-level effort estimation and delivery timeline
- Recommend best practices for data quality, scalability, and automation
- Build automated ETL pipelines for data ingestion
- Extract data via APIs / CSV sources
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation
- Load structured data into Azure SQL
- Implement logging, monitoring, and error handling
- Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of pipelines
- Automate daily database archive ingestion
- Enable Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards
- Develop lightweight middleware / batch scripts for CSV processing
- Support enhancements and optimizations in data workflows
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL
- Strong experience with Azure Data Stack, including:
- Azure SQL
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Synapse / Azure Data Lake (preferred)
- Hands-on experience in ETL pipeline design and development
- Experience with API-based data ingestion
- Strong knowledge of data transformation, cleansing, and validation
- Experience with Power BI reporting and data modeling
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with automation, batch processing, and scheduling
- Ability to work on architecture design and effort estimation
- Experience working with messy / inconsistent CSV data
- Exposure to logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms
- Prior experience in consulting or architecture-led engagements
- Strong documentation and communication skills
