About the team:
The Central team within Customer Solutions focuses on delivering high-impact solutions that address the unique needs of our largest and most demanding customers. We work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to design, build, and deploy integrations, security enhancements, and content management tools that elevate the Vimeo experience for enterprise users.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and inspire: Guide a talented team of engineers to deliver exceptional results, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Build and deliver: Oversee the development and implementation of innovative solutions, including LMS integrations, enhanced security offerings, content protection mechanisms, and advanced content management tools.
- Collaborate and communicate: Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Design, and other engineering groups, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Mentor and develop: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development through regular feedback, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
- Drive excellence: Champion engineering best practices, architectural principles, and coding standards to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- Influence and advocate: Contribute to strategic decisions, advocate for your team's needs, and drive change to enhance the team's effectiveness and impact.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- Proven leadership: A track record of minimum 2 years successfully leading and managing engineering teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Technical acumen: Deep understanding of software engineering principles, architectural patterns, and development methodologies. Expected to be hands-on with coding and architecture approximately 40% of the time
- Solution-oriented mindset: Ability to analyze complex customer needs and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Communication and collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Project management: Experience managing complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
- Passion for Vimeo: A genuine interest in Vimeo's mission and a desire to contribute to the success of our enterprise customers
- Essential Tech Stack: Experience with GCP, PHP, React, MySQL, and Redis
Bonus points:
- Familiarity with AWS, Python, and Django
