The Role

Vim is seeking a skilled and innovative Front-End Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic Developer Platform team. You'll be at the forefront of crafting cutting-edge SDK tools that empower external Developers and elevate our clients' daily workflows.

 As part of our high-performing team, you'll tackle complex, scalable product challenges and contribute to creating seamless, intuitive user experiences.

As a Front-End Engineer at Vim, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and fellow external Developers, participate in Debug sessions and education regarding the product (Canvas) and product capabilities. Ensuring the delivery of new features and optimized front-end frameworks. You’ll have the opportunity to drive impactful improvements while contributing both autonomously and within cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces with modern technologies.
  • Lead front-end infrastructure initiatives, applying JavaScript/TypeScript best practices, performance optimization techniques, and security principles.
  • Write clean, efficient code with a focus on comprehensive test coverage.
  • Own the full lifecycle of your features, from development to deployment.
  • Act as a technical point of contact and support the external developers through the implementation process. 
  •  Mentoring peers and driving innovation within your domain.

Who We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a deep understanding of front-end development best practices.
  • Expertise in Java Script with a strong track record of building scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • A background in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally from tier-one technical startups, with a focus on enterprise software and technical leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in React or other frontend frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience in writing/maintaining backend web service in Node.js.
  • Work on SDK tools for Developers
  • Work with Micro Frontend
