Senior Prismatic Laser Engineer

Responsibilities :

• You are responsible for the processes that laser technology of Prismatic battery
• Commissioning the pilot and Gigafactory  process from design concept review to SOP.
• Collaborating with the product engineering team to optimize the laser process for the cell design.
• You must select a laser company and proceed with standardization application and review of the method.
• Improving laser technology by increasing the level of process automation, which will save capital and operating costs.
• Testing and validating state-of-the-art technologies for use in the winding process.
• During operation, you will complete root cause investigations into defects in the laser process.

Requirements :

• Evidence of exceptional ability. Verkor follows a culture of full-cycle engineering where members will have full responsibility and accountability for their projects from start to finish. We are looking for the best of the best.
• Over 10 years of experience working with the laser cutting and welding technology.
• It is better if you have experience in manufacturing Prismatic batteries
• Experience with products sensitive to environmental conditions, such as the electronics or food industries. Clean room and dry room experience will be useful.
• Strong statistical and data analysis skills with tools such as Python, Matlab, and Minitab.
• Basic: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Preferred: M.S. in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Materials or similar discipline.
