Responsibilities

This position will directly report to the VP of Solutions Engineering and collaborate closely with Channel Leadership and other key stakeholders to drive strategic Channel-facing and internal-facing technical initiatives.

As a pivotal member of the Sr. Leadership team, this position will play a crucial role in:

  • Overseeing the Channel SE program, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with overall business objectives, including:
    • Direct alignment to the Channel Sales Leadership at Verkada
    • Educate partner executives & installers on Verkada products, programs, promotions, pricing and sales campaigns
    • Design Verkada solutions that range from physical deployment and recommendations to Verkada best practices and Network Security recommendations/bandwidth requirements
  • Leading budgeting and planning conversations with Strategic Finance and Sales Strategy and Operation Leadership 

This position will be directly managing a team of Channel SEs, including both individual contributors and people managers.

  • Ongoing mentoring and development of the Channel SE team which includes recruiting, hiring and coaching new Channel SEs
  • Assist SEs in closing highly complex transactions through the development of executive-level relationships with key partners and the Channel Sales team
  • Act as the additional liaison/advocate between the Channel, Solutions Engineering and Sales teams.

This position is expected to require traveling 30-50% of the time, including travel to both national and international destinations.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership success as a technical presales Sr. Manager/Director for the last 4 years within a similar company (L2+)
  • Experience with Channel SE and/or experience with both Channel and SE roles 
  • Experience working at a cloud and network infrastructure focused company with hardware / software exposure required (experience working in the Physical Security industry desired but not required) 
  • Demonstrated success in directly leading a high-performing Solutions Engineering team within a sales environment
  • Experience building and scaling technical pre-sales teams and eager to spearhead an emerging segment 
  • Proven leadership in international cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience working at high-growth stage businesses desired but not required 
  • Industry certifications are a plus: AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CISSP, CSP

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
