What you’ll be doing...
You will work on the Server Infrastructure automation activities within our function. You will collaborate with the Data center teams(Server Engineers) in order to implement a zero-touch provisioning /decommissioning process through technologies/hypervisors like Openshift, Manage IQ, Ansible, Python, Perl/Shell scripting, Web Development etc. You are a continuous learner and should be willing to train the existing team members on the knowledge you are bringing into the organisation. You will act as a bridge between the operations team and the development team helping in the integration of the server automation scripts to existing application portals.
Partnering with Server/Storage teams to understand the build and operations processes
Automating the Server infrastructure environment and its operations
Enabling continuous improvement of daily operational support
Collaborating with Engineering and development teams to integrate automation flows with app portals
Driving innovation and deriving strategies to improve overall experience
Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution
Build (Proof of Concept) technical evaluations for new technologies for use in the Server Infrastructure
What we’re looking for...
You have the technical skills and enjoy leading teams to deliver results that make a difference. When there are challenges, people look to you for solutions. You are very good at keeping the lines of communication open to keep things moving in the right direction. Multitasking is second nature for you, and a fast-paced, complex environment is where you thrive.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor degree or six or more years of relevant work experience
- Experience and Sound knowledge of scripting languages like Python & Ansible
- Experience with Power Shell, Shell scripting, batch scripts etc.
- Experience in System Administrator role pertaining to Hybrid Environments(Cloud & On-Prem)
- Experience with Server virtualisation, network, security and Data center management to have the ability to automate any kind of requirement
- Experience with varied Server Infrastructure like VMWare, Nutanix & Kubevirt
- Experience building bare metal automations for Server Infrastructure platforms like Kubevirt/Kubernetes using OpenShift platform
- Experience in building applications using Docker & Kubernetes or managing Kubernetes platform at an enterprise level
- Knowledge on Web development tools and implementing APIs for automating Server Provisioning and Maintenance activities
- Knowhow of SRE and AIOps aspects and possible implementations across Datacenter functions
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience working on SRE implementations and knowhow on building DevOps pipelines
- Experience/Knowledge on RedFish
- Experience/Knowledge on Camunda tool as an orchestrator to automate VM Builds and Upgrades
- Scripting languages such as HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery, Shell, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience with administration of any of the Cloud Platforms(AWS, AZURE etc.)
