What You'll be doing...

The Business Architecture and Strategy team within Verizon's Consumer Group plays a pivotal role in implementing the VCG-as-a-Platform (VCG-aaP) strategy, enabling business expansion and operational transformation. The Business Architecture function defines the long-term vision for platform aspirations, including business architecture blueprint and supporting the overall VCG strategy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced technology enthusiast to drive the strategic vision and execution of innovative technologies like machine learning and generative AI. This role collaborates closely with senior leadership to develop an end-to-end (E2E) business platform architecture, shaping the future of VCG’s strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Keeping the blueprint refreshed on a regular basis with inputs from the business, technology teams, and capital planning processes.

• Analyzing business processes, strategies, and goals.

• Translating business objectives into product requirements.

• Shaping business capabilities and platform modularity requirements in close collaboration with the business (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success)

• Be an advisory for strategic initiatives by creating Business Architecture documents for all CXO requests.

• Developing a clear vision for machine learning product offerings that align with market trends and customer needs.

• Identifying opportunities to integrate cutting-edge technology into our products. 

• Leveraging data and analytics to make informed product decisions.

• Assessing product performance and recommending improvements. 

• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends in machine learning and AI technologies, and apply this knowledge to product strategy.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience

• Six or more years of relevant work experience

• Experience in the fields of Business Architecture and Product Management demonstrating a track record of successful projects, innovative product development, and effective business strategies in a large, complex organization.

• Deep understanding of machine learning, computer science, data science, and product management.

• Proven domain expertise in telecommunications and experience in agile program delivery.

• Proficiency in creating roadmaps, financial business cases, and leading enterprise-level transformational projects.

Even better if your have one of more of the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering.

• Tech strategy or telecom consulting experience.

• MBA or higher degree in business or engineering.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, executives, customers, and development teams.

• Having a User-Centric Approach to prioritize user needs and incorporate user feedback into the product development process. 

• Problem-Solving Skills and being a proactive problem solver, addressing technical and business challenges that arise during product development.

• Team Leadership and collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and leadership to ensure successful product delivery.

• Innovative Thinking and continuously exploring new technology and innovation, seeking ways to enhance our product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.

• Strong business Acumen and Market Awareness to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in machine learning and AI technologies, and apply this knowledge to product strategy.

• Understanding of Agile Methodology

• Extensive experience in developing and executing strategies and initiatives.
