Job Description

DUTIES:          Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility. Duties to include: Follow Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes of design, devlopment, test, implementaiton for applciations supported by the Payments Internet eCommerce team; process and analyze high volume data to mine valuable chunks of information; analyze input and output data to discover interesting signals, validate outputs, gain understanding of systems, and build powerful systems from simple building blocks while managing their complexity; contribute to our team's continuous efforts to improve quality and efficiency of development platforms, tools, and processes; process Big Data; apply machine learning tools and workflows to highly scalable systems; code software requirements and changes based on design specifications; perform design, coding, code review, testing, bug fixing, and documentation; write SQL queries to deal with the data in a database; store, access, and manage cluster data; interact with Cluster data on a daily basis; maintain, update, and improve existing applications and modules; perform unit testing to eliminate any unreachable code and to obtain maximum code coverage; collaborate within the engineering organization and across multi-disciplinary teams to solve technical problems; and participate in post-production activities and provide support to day-to-day problems. Telecommuting is available for this position from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:       Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Technology Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the following:

designing and developing complex Internet systems;

J2EE based Web Application frameworks and service oriented architecture;

Java/J2EE, XML, DB2 relational database and AIX operating system;

Object Oriented Design and Object Oriented Programming;

UNIX and Windows based environment;

WSDL/SOAP, REST API and Service Oriented Architecture;

source control and DevOps CI/CD tools including SVN or  Gitlab;

automation build tools including ANT or Maven; and

Web Application servers including Webshere Application Server, or Tomcat.

Additional Information

Salary: $132,579

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
