Job Description

As an Application Engineer you will create automated designs and collaborate with our Account Executives by advising clients on industrial solutions. In this role, you will provide designing insights to our clients using our Vention CAD. You’ll work closely with stakeholders on hundreds of industrial automation projects—and gain an insider’s knowledge of leading automotive, robotics, and aerospace companies.

In this role, you will:

• You work closely with German based customers at flagship manufacturing companies to understand their requirements and create effective solutions/design using Vention 3D MachineBuilder and library of modular components
• You lead design review sessions with clients to provide feedback and insight on their design
• You review peers and users’ designs for performance, structural integrity, efficiency, and quality
• You create custom parts and drawings using SolidWorks
• You contribute to the development of Vention parts library and CAD by providing continuous feedback to our hardware and software team to improve the product
• You provide training on designing with the MachineBuilder to clients and colleagues
• You test and troubleshoot designs assembled in-house prior to shipment

Qualifications

• You have an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• You are proficient in German and English - another major European language is a plus
• You demonstrated experience, either in a work or school-related setting, in mechanical design
• You have strong communication skills, and it comes easy to you presenting to clients
• You have demonstrated the ability to provide white glove customer services
• You are passionate about daily client interactions and mechanical design
