What you’ll be doing:
- 50% supporting Azure cloud migration with partner, 25% mentoring and guiding the team in best practices (principally within Azure), 25% support existing infrastructure footprint
- Working with development teams to ensure applications fit nicely within the infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security from the start.
- Creating and delivering infrastructure as code to the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our products.
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging cloud technology trends, especially around site reliability and security.
- Helping with capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning.
- Be great at communication both within your team and internal stakeholders and have an ability to explain complex technical architectures to those less fluent
- Collaborating with the other teams to define error budgets, SLO and SLI.
- Build and maintain monitoring for all aspects of infrastructure and the platform, and implement alerting mechanisms
- Help to cost optimize our platform
- Participate in on-call rotation, being responsible for uptime and support and improve on-call processes

To be successful in this role you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- 3+ year of experience in Site Reliability engineering with hands on experience in Azure cloud technologies
- Demonstrable experience of designing, building, maintaining, monitoring and supporting cloud-based platforms and applications in Azure.
- Extensive experience with deploying and supporting AKS/Kubernetes with a robust background of container technology
- Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining infrastructure-as-code, such as Terraform
- Experience with deployment automation using Ansible, Packer, and Terraform
- Experience working with Azure DevOps
- Experience and knowledge of monitoring solutions namely Datadog
- Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrable experience of databases - MySQL, SQL, Redis, and various NOSQL engines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to Have:
- Master's in computer science or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps
- Certification in Azure DevOps Expert
